Hazlehurst, Miss. — DG Foods LLC has announced that Larry Pate has joined the company as the Director of Sales with responsibilities for developing and implementing the company sales and marketing program.
“We are very pleased to have Larry join the DG Food’s team,” said Duffy Mckenzie and Paul Carter, the Company’s Owners. “He has vast experience and knowledge in many different aspects of our Industry and a broad network of contacts which will be a definite asset to the company as our portioning operation continues to grow in the United States.”
Larry began his career with Sara Lee Corporation starting with Bryan Foods and later with Design Foods. In 1995, Larry moved into the poultry industry with McCarty Foods and have remained in poultry sales working with companies including Wayne Farms, Conagra Poultry, Pilgrims and Keystone Foods.
Larry is originally from West Point, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University, obtaining a B.S. degree in Marketing. He is married to Rebecca, and they have 3 sons and 1 daughter.
DG Foods is a custom poultry processor, established in 2004 in Hazlehurst Mississippi to provide co-packing services to large integrated poultry companies. As the demand grew, a second facility was started in Bastrop, Louisiana in the summer of 2011 for additional needs required by integrated poultry companies in the Southwest. DG Foods has since expanded into custom processing and portioning at both facilities with direct shipping capabilities across the United States.
