Discrimination and discriminatory harassment—including but not limited to sexual harassment—degrades another’s dignity and privacy. DG Foods has long had a “zero-tolerance” policy against any form of discrimination or harassment in its workplace, and it remains the Company’s longstanding policy to prohibit such conduct.
This Policy applies to all sexual and other discriminatory harassment occurring in the work environment, whether on or at DG Foods’ premises; at a Company-related setting, including any customer-related functions (both at the workplace or outside the workplace); or in the use of any DG Foods’-provided business systems, including e-mail, voice mail, cell phone and the Internet. This Policy covers all executives and employees of the Company, any applicants for employment with DG Foods, and all third parties over whom the Company has control. Any employee who engages in such conduct or behavior will be subject to discipline or discharge.
DG Foods strictly prohibits retaliation against any employee for attempting to utilize the complaint procedure set forth in this Policy. Complaints made in good faith under this Policy will not result in any adverse action against the complaining party. Similarly, no person who participates in good faith in investigating a complaint will be treated adversely because of that participation. Any person found to have retaliated against an individual for reporting a complaint of discrimination/harassment, or for participating in an investigation of allegations of such conduct, will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action.
